Detailed Description

The new expert committee deals in particular comprehensively with copyright and media law aspects in connection with platforms on the Internet. This environment is again the subject of comprehensive legislative changes. The DSM Directive (2019/790) has meanwhile been transposed into German law, in particular with the UrhDAG. The draft Digital Services Act introduces further new regulatory approaches that focus in particular on conflicts with freedom of expression and freedom of information concerning social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, XING, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Twitter, etc. The draft Digital Services Act also introduces new regulatory approaches that focus in particular on conflicts with freedom of expression and freedom of information concerning social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, XING, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Twitter, etc. National regulatory approaches, especially with regard to social media services (e.g. NetzDG, KommunikationsplattformG) but also other platforms (TMG, MStV) will be added. The FA is to accompany this legal formation process.
